We’re six students building a robot for the National Robotics League.
- /01
The kit came in August: acrylic plates, four wheels, a bag of motors and a manual. Since then most of our free periods and weekends have gone into it.
- /02
We learn most things by breaking them first. When something fails we write down why, so we don’t do it twice.
- /03
A match is two and a half minutes. We practise together so that on the day nobody has to stop and ask what to do.

The robot,
part by part
Every NRL team starts with the same kit. This is that kit robot in 3D, so you can spin it around and take it apart. Tap any part to see what it does and which rule it has to follow.
Tap a part on the robot, or pick one from the list.

Aarav Gopal
Keeps the team on track. Aarav plans the week, settles the arguments and makes sure every job actually has someone doing it.

Shivansh Goyal
Our driver. If the robot’s on the field, Shivansh is driving it. Having helped build the drivetrain, Shivansh knows exactly how it’ll handle.
- Wheels
- Drive motors
Aza Blake Paulson
Runs the build. Aza sketches the idea, works out how it fits together, then actually builds it.

- Claw
- Base frame
Navyansh Kejriwal
Runs our Instagram and films nearly everything. When the camera’s down, Navyansh is helping with the build.
- Number plate
- Base frame
Nirek
Writes the code that makes the robot move when you push a stick, plus the autonomous runs. Nirek is usually the one asking “what if we tried…”.
- HEXA Command Hub
- Drive motors
Rishi
Co-leads the code with Nirek and helps design the parts the code has to move, so the builders and coders aren’t guessing what the other side wants.

Nationals, Mumbai
If we finish in the top 20%, we’re going.
Bengaluru Regional
20–21 Nov 2026
Bengaluru runs two one-day regionals on 20 and 21 Nov, and each team plays one of them. The top 20% from every regional go to Nationals in Mumbai, and we want to be in that group.

Meet T-Bot,
our mascot
It won’t be on the field, but someone has to celebrate. Drag to turn it and pick a move.
